My parents remarried on Valentines Day 1987, ten years after their divorce. My dad insisted on waiting ten years, because if you remarry before ten years is up, you have to repay the tax deductions you got from alimony. My dad: the quintessential romantic. Anyway, it's pretty amazing that two people loved each other enough to live with each other while they were alcholics, and wait for each other until they got into recovery. And even though I'll have to call my dad to remind him to buy flowers for my mother today, theirs is a deep and devoted love.
Some little known facts about Valentine's Day.
Unrelated to Valentines Day, I found this via lizardek, check it out.
That's a fantastic story! Happy Valentine's Day indeed!

A coworker of mine remarried his ex this past Sunday. They'd been divorced 10 years.

I love the fact that they had to wait ten years...too funny. We love the good, the bad, and the quirks in people

That is very cute. My parents did not remarry but they did become much better friends after the divorce.
