Molding

Lately Haley has been putting me to the test a lot.. Sometimes I feel like all I do all day is correct her. She's so fiesty, and I want her to know that that's a great quality! She just needs to learn to temper it a bit.  I'm taking her on a date on Friday morning, to help hit our reset button. Aaron and I take all our kids on dates. If you've got more than two kids, I really recommend doing something fun with each child, especially if they seem to be acting out a lot. (The same goes for your spouse/partner, hee.)

Anyway, this morning we made clay.

Clay

Here's the easy-peasy recipe:
1/2 c salt
1c flour
1t veg. oil
1t cream of tartar
2-3 drops food color
[oops! I forgot the 1c water! Thanks Marianne!]

Mix. Cook on low for about 3 min., til mixture forms a ball.

Wow. Looks like fun.

Gotta get me one o them ear'y p-j's. Cosy!

Did you maybe leave out the water in the recipe? Will it form a ball with just that teaspoon of oil for moisture?

You can put in Kool-Aid for color/scent or a drop or two of extract for scent too.
